Round Three
The Halfway Point
Like I said on my FaceBook post yesterday:
Once you accept the low-grade fever, body aches, lethargy, lack of enthusiasm, headache, brain fog, and an overwhelming desire to sleep all day, immunotherapy is really not that bad.
The administration of the treatment was by a new nurse, so I've had three different persons. All three have been very kind and compassionate. Good people. The first one, however, seemed to have a better knack for getting me hooked up and ready for the immunotherapy. My last two rounds were definitely more painful and past the realm of 'discomfort.'
I can feel aching and cramping in the area where the carcinoma is. Most likely just a coincidence, but I'd like to believe that something positive is happening.
I'm continuing to go to the gym and keep my body strong, although I did skip today because I just did not have very much energy. I knew that I would be even more discouraged with the outcome than I would be by not going at all; and that really says something about how my body is feeling.
