What I Bring to the Studio
Here is what I use whenever I make music.
Purchased on a whim from a pawn shop in Grand Rapids, MI. I didn't know how big of a score I'd made until I saw a similar one which was brand new in Good News Guitars in Traverse City, MI selling for $1600 that same year. It has been my primary go to for years, and bears the marks of love; from me and my kids as each one of them took it up in their hands and played.
I always wanted a to purchase a 12-String for the beautiful, rich sound they produce; at least, the acoustic ones do! I picked this up at Guitarville in Shoreline, WA in 2005 on clearance for $75. I figured, what do I have to lose? The answer was actually did I realize just what I was about to gain? This is a pretty solid guitar that only strays out of tune after heavy use, and seems to hold its sound well after being in the case for a while.
A gift from a dying man… Someday, I'll tell the story on this forum. Like every good and perfect gift from above, it was given undeservedly and received with the grace through which the gifter lived his life through the hope and faith he displayed in love. The greatest of these is love.
